Fox Wisconsin Waterway Photos
The Fox - Wisconsin Waterway extends from Lake Michigan at Green Bay Wisconsin to the Mississippi River near Prairie du Chin, WI. It thus connects the Great Lakes with the Mississippi River system. It was a major point of contention between the British Empire and the new United States at the time of the American Revolution. It was later developed as a through route for barge navigation, but was closed in the 1950's. Reopening to pleasure cruising remains a viable option.
