This is the upper end of the lock. The remainder is filled in perpendicular to the yellow tape along the paved path.
To the right, 10 miles of water canal summit level extends to Lock 1 north, Akron
Just south of here, the canal crosses Snyder Ave. (Hudson Run Rd.) and then Wolf Run. However, this area is not currently accessible. Originally, the current Wolf Run crossing was a canal feeder and wolf run flowed over a dam next to the canal and then under an aqueduct further south. This aqueduct still exists and is the only concrete aqueduct in Ohio.
